Types of Lightswords in the Star Wars Series
The most well-known type of lightsword is the standard blade, both used by Luke and Anakin Skywalker. George Lucas chose the lightsaber as the Jedi's weapon in part because he learned that the sword has historically been seen as a weapon of dignity, full of mystery, or as a symbol of power.
Darth Vader is proficient in nearly all lightswords, but he prefers to use the unusual, highly versatile biphasic sword. A bi-phasic lightsaber is a legacy from an older, more violent era, and it has two Kyber crystals. With the flick of a switch, the Kyber crystal can be rotated into a new alignment, changing the length of the blade. This change can be useful for unexpectedly striking opponents in combat, however, different lengths require different combat skills, and only true combat masters would dare to attempt a dual-phase lightsaber.
There is a scene in the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy, a group of teenagers training with lightsword, these are not ordinary lightsabers, but specially designed for training. These training swords have shorter blades than regular lightsabers, are designed for teens, and their power is set to low intensity to prevent damage.
There is an interesting lightsword in the game "Veder Immortal", called "Original Sword", which is the ancient sword. It is much more gorgeous than the usual lightsaber. The bottom of the blue energy sword has a spiral pointed tip, and there is a fan-shaped connection between the hilt and the blade. The Kyber crystal is actually exposed. , mounted on a structure resembling a ring of fire, which seems to prove that this legacy of the Force is very old.
